There’s always a perfect moment to shift gears and do things differently. For a long time, I struggled with mathematics in high school, and I’ll admit—finance and economics were never subjects that excited me. No one really explained the magic behind money when I was growing up, so it always felt a bit distant and mysterious.
But now, in this chapter of my life, something has clicked. I’ve started to look at personal finance from a new perspective—almost like a science. I’ve come to realize that understanding money, the mindset of those who manage it well, is a skill that can be learned at any stage in life. The beauty is that it’s never too late to start.
I’ve always believed in the power of gradual exposure to new ideas. The more you encounter something, the easier it becomes to let go of outdated beliefs and embrace fresh perspectives. This is why I’m now venturing into a new territory with my reading habits. While I’ve spent years diving into books on education, psychology, pedagogy, and personal growth, I now feel ready to bring a financial element into the mix.
That’s why I’m diving into reviews of financial magazines, like Forbes, to expand my worldview. It’s a shift I’m excited about, and I’m starting with the October issue of Forbes Romania.
One article that really resonated with me was about the “30 Under 30″—a list of young achievers across various fields, from sports to IT to dentistry. Reading their stories of success filled me with pride and inspiration. It reminded me that a millionaire mindset is about more than just numbers—it’s about vision, persistence, and a willingness to learn. These stories ignited a spark in me to share what I’ve learned about developing that mindset with you.
I also found a lot of inspiration in other stories from the issue, like Veolia’s innovative approach to energy, the creation of Leon—the first Made-in-Romania DMU (Diesel Motor Unit) train, and the emerging trend of build-to-rent buildings. Each one of these examples highlights how innovation and forward-thinking are reshaping industries and creating new opportunities.
