I finished this and I must tell you that I have gained a new sense of appreciation for the human body. I pray to God daily in order to remain grounded in this realization of mine and to remind myself constantly what a gift it is to wake up in the morning and to be a fully functional individual. I think that the lure of hollywoodesque success has made many of us blind to the treasures that we already hold and it takes a conscious effort to stay in the present.
You can’t walk the red carpet with a golden globe for going to the toilet today. But please do! Put this red carpet at home and walk the walk. The human body is a work of art and the longer I have stayed to work on this painting the more awe I felt.
I have filmed a video in which I talk about it and another one where I film close-up details in order for you to be able to truly appreciate this work of art as I have put plenty of hours into it.
P.S. I took this with me while doing chemotherapy sessions and I must tell you that it made the hours pass by so easily! Headphones on and my rotring pen in my hand…and rock on baby!
