This bodypainting is about the healing power of love. When I think of healthy love I think of something which wraps around my soul giving me a state ot peace and security. We’ve all been through heartbreaks, we know how our heart is shattered and yet some of us find the power to want to love again. What a crazy idea , to love again and again, knowing it will sometimes hurt! We’re all crazy, huh?
To be open to love means to be open to vulnerability. Anything other than that means that people wear masks. Sooner or later someone gets tired of acting and shows their true colours and it will be far from a glamorous Oscar award ceremomy for the best actor of the year.
The love of an emotionally healthy man is healing. I have illustrated this in colorful tones in order to suggest that love brings us to life. There is a feeling of getting born again when you love and are being loved.
If you take a closer look around my chest and neck you can see that I have painted an idea of the moment of conception: can you see the swimmers going towards the neck, where the female egg is? Men pursue, women attract.
Healthy love is about reciprocity. Suffering in love comes when one of the partners does not love , out of malice or because they do not know or do not feel a connection.
